Alexandra is the Private Clients Development Executive for Howden. 

Private Client insurance is about looking after the personal insurance needs for those clients with a little more to protect or whose home and contents are not ‘standard’.  ‘Listening, understanding and explaining what insurance is there to do for my clients is at the heart of what I do.  I often visit clients at their home, building up a trusted relationship, helping them to understand why it is important to get their sums insured right, what risks they might face, and what to expect when it comes to making a claim’.

WHY ECF? 

Many of our clients are in their later years and their insurance needs have developed over time and in some cases are quite complex.  They may have a large house, established collections of art, antiques and jewellery or a let property portfolio.  Alternatively, they may be downsizing or a partner may have died and they are left with the administration of insurance policies which they may know little or nothing about.  Being able to personally assist these clients and give them the re-assurance that their fixed assets are properly protected, is essential.  I love being part of the Edinburgh Care Forum.  Being able to offer insurance support, guidance and advice to those that need it at a potentially vulnerable time in their lives is just a very small part I can play in trying to make people’s lives a little easier. 

ON A PERSONAL NOTE...

Alexandra lives in the Scottish Borders with her husband, two children, chickens, dog and cat. When she is not running around after them, or for them, she enjoys anything outdoors but particularly wild swimming, tennis, running and keeping positive!
