GILLIAN HYAMS
Gillian enjoys being part of the Edinburgh Care Form as it allows her to be involved in a community which focuses on an area she is passionate about. It provides an opportunity to come together with like-minded professionals to provide a high level of support and advice for those in need of specialist care.
Gillian is an Associate at Gillespie Macandrew LLP in the Private Client team and advises on a wide range of private client work. She is particularly interested in Adults with Incapacity law and often advises clients on Powers of Attorney, Guardianships, and other issues related to Adults with Incapacity Law.
Gillian is experienced in assisting elderly and vulnerable clients. She has a friendly and approachable personality and finds building trusting relationships with clients, the most rewarding part of her job.
Gillian also advises on Wills and Estate Planning, Trusts and Executry administration. In 2021 she completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland).
Areas that Gillian can help with include Wills; Succession Planning; Powers of Attorney; Living Wills; Trusts; Property; Executries; Incapacity Issues; Asset Protection and Planning for Care.

When Gillian is not working, she has two young children and a rescue dog who keep her on her toes.
